Nataasan Beach Resort & Dive Center

The high vantage point provides an excellent view of the pristine white sanded beach (though, to get there, you have to climb up and down a staircase). Food is excellent, especially the fresh seafood caught by local fishermen. Rooms are great. There are multiple options and suits, from the cheap room above the restaurant to the individual air-conditioned cabanas/huts. There is a swimming pool, but the highlight of this locale is the beach itself and island-hopping tours.

The place was peaceful and wonderful. The resort is situated above a cliff side so if you want to go to the beach you have to go down around 3-4 floors of stairs, the beach itself is highly affected by the tides. So if you're looking for a place only for the beach it would be more preferable to choose a resort within or closer to the bay.

This resort offers a breath taking view of Punta Ballo beach. In terms of amenities, they have oceanside bungalows with balconies, poolside rooms, gardenview rooms, function rooms (good for 40-50pax), swimming pool (4-12ft) with mini bar, and restaurant (with souvenir shop & beach essentials). Room was okay but kinda dusty for me (really triggered my allergy). The bathroom was spacious, with enough space to place your clothes and toiletries. Don’t forget to bring your own coz they only provided 2 soaps and one shampoo in a room good for 4 pax. Love that they have wifi anywhere in the resort. They don’t offer diving services anymore but you can still avail their island hopping tours for 1500 (good for 10 pax). It’s best to avail this tour since even though Punta ballo beach have crystal clear waters, you’ll see lots of corals and urchins near the shore. Campomanes bay and sugar beach are still the best for swimming. Marine Sanctuary is the best for snorkeling.

we stayed in the family room for 7,500 a night, which was over-priced for reasons you will see... the best features are the clean swimming pool and view from the restaurant. the downside is the poor maintenance and ongoing construction, which involves banging, etc (even heard a guy shouting at a girl down on the beach). Punta Ballo Beach looks good from a distance, but when you get down there, you find plenty of rubbish and you can't swim - the water is too shallow and rocky. overall not bad, but i'd definitely wait until the construction is finished (maybe some time in 2024) if you want to visit Punta Ballo.

We had a great time here. All the staff were lovely and friendly. The on site restaurant was great and made an effort to let our cake stay in their fridge. It was all incredibly good value. The facilities were also fab and the sunset view was ideal! It was also Useful to have someone on site to help us plan activities, diving etc. We loved it!!!

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend getaway at Nataasan Beach Resort. The room weren’t bad; but certainly not what one would expect from a “3-star” resort. The water pressure was lacking. While there was hot and cold showers, we had to wait several minutes before any warm water came out. The WiFi worked well inside and outside our room, as well as in the restaurant. Island hopping is highly recommended. The pool was nice and clean. There is a great panoramic view of the beach area from inside the restaurant where they had a nice variety of affordable menu options. The front staff was generally accommodating and friendly. However, we had an odd experience during lunch: My wife ordered an item that included fries and an iced tea. I asked if a Coke could be substituted for the ice tea. The waitress said, “no”! Are you kidding me? According to the menu; the ice tea cost 45 pesos, while the price of the Coke was only 35 pesos! They would have SAVED 10 pesos if they allowed for the substitution – but I guess it was more important for them to annoy me than to save money (or keep a customer happy). But then, when it came time to serve the food, they didn’t even include a drink, let alone the iced tea! My wife ended up drinking the service water instead.
